SOCIAL PROJECT-A day with underprivileged children
One of the most effective ways to prepare students to be more responsible leaders is to give them opportunities to get engaged in activities in their communities. Social responsibility is a duty each and every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems. We are grooming our students to focus their attention towards social responsibility as a citizen.
Our MBA(VTU) students visited Making You Smile Today (MUST). MUST is a social group collectively focused on the education and health interests of underprivileged children. At the heart of MUST lies the determination to better the lives of our children by providing a wholesome and conducive environment for their growth and development. MUST aim at enabling our children to become responsible and valuable citizens of our society and country. But beyond all of this, MUST intends to make our children smile today and tomorrow.
In May 2014, MUST conduct a 10-day summer camp at the Amruthahalli Government School for the underprivileged children. In the course of the summer camp, the children were imparted lessons in English, drama, art and craft, mathematics and science. The summer camp culminated with a dazzling display of the children’s talents. The children participated in dance, music and drama performances that mesmerized the audience. This 10-day summer camp had given a massive boost to the confidences of the children and motivated them to great lengths.
MUST now plans to evaluate our children and provide specific focus on their needs and demands. The social collective also intends to broaden its reach and aims to undertake projects that will add to the learning of the children, such as a library to create a reading habit among the children. MUST also intend to expose the children to new modes of learning through field trips to museums, planetariums and zoos. Our students with the help of MUST members they took 30 children to visveshwarya museum and they explained how things work, how it make work easy. Our students provided the lunch to the children with fruit and sweets. For the students, this was an opportunity to take responsibility for the welfare of others and thereby learn what it takes to be responsible citizens and managers.A Motivation spirit of our STUDENTS towards “Swachh Bharat” campaign:
